Mauser 18 Savanna review
I admit I enjoy reviewing bolt-action rifles. There is a bit of romance within the manual of arms. It is nearly primal, as you are crucial to the rifle's operating system. For me, that adds to the experience of being one with the gun.
The new Mauser 18 Savanna proved to be quite the handy bolt gun with some target rifle characteristics. While this model is available in a myriad of calibers, I opted for the .223 model because I honestly enjoy that caliber.
With an MSRP of $901, the Mauser 18 Savanna is part of the company's more budget-friendly rifle line, but what makes it a Mauser remains unchanged. It proved to be reliable without any issues through about 400 rounds of various .223 Reming...

How to clean a rifle.
Просмотров 204Месяц назад
Be sure the rifle is unloaded, and there is no live ammunition in proximity. I have a very particular way of cleaning my rifle, which an old-school bench-rest shooter taught me. Some may think this is a bit overkill or outdated, but I can tell you it has worked well for me for decades. All the tools you use need to be made of a material that is softer than the steel the barrel is made of, such ...

Meprolight Tru Vision red dot review It has taken me some time to warm up to red dot sights, but against my hardheadedness, I have been keeping an open mind and giving them a fair shake after spending some time with them. I am beginning to see why they have become so popular. I can tell you this for sure: it is easy for the new shooter to pick it up. I received the Kel-Tec Sub 2000 Gen 3 for re...
Kel-Tec Sun 2000 Gen 3 review
Просмотров 4292 месяца назад
With about 400 various rounds downrange with numerous shooters suppressed and unsuppressed the Sub 2000 Gen 3 had no malfunctions or misfeeds. Accuracy was excellent, in my opinion, with no one having problems keeping rounds on steel, even during rapid fire. While I see a lot of practical uses for such a foldable carbine most folks commented on the fun factor more than anything. I can say bangi...

revolvers will never go away
Buy a rhino safe instead!!!! Veteran owned!!! Made in Idaho. F*** Liberty safes!!!! They are also owned by the left wing . Stay away. At one time liberty was a family owned company, not anymore.
I see hi point is still the ugliest handgun ever made, how can they not make it look better? Its massive for a start😂
@@tabakatinjim function over form
I feel like condition 2 would be safer than condition 1. But that’s just me. It’s a lot easier to accidentally knock the thumb safety off than it is to accidentally pulling the hammer back.
The Magazine capacity should be 5+1. I have the same model in 6.5CM and mine takes 5+1
I'll take 2

Hello. Do you ever have any issues with rust spotting with the parkerized?
😉Nice. . . .
Beautiful gun. I’ve been wanting to buy one when the stainless came out in 2020. They had an issue with the rear sight that was loose and won’t hold windage. I wonder if Colt fix that problem on the new blued version?
@@alegroman4294 of all the Pythons I have shot, a dozen or so, there were no rear sight issues. I have been carrying this blued version for quite some time with no issues.
The 1.9 inch long cylinder allows the use of Garrett Cartridges of Texas 330 grain 44 Magnum load as well as the Buffalo Bore +P+ 340 grain 44 Magnum load.
@jeffreylocke8808 I shot some of the 320 gr Doubletap and it was a handful for sure. The revolver handled it fine though.
I know that ar's are the thing but a bolt gun is the best!!
@johntoothman4888 I love bolt guns myself.
I had a 6" and just never got comfortable with it. Sold it and got the 4.25" (bead blast finish) and its like a different world. Better balance, quicker back on target, and if you use one, clears the holster quicker. Recoil with specials is negligible, with magnums its hefty but not much more than the longer barrel and the maneuverability is worth it. good video and review
@howardswayne2742 thank you very much. I agree I reviewed the 6" first and liked it fine but the 4 1/4" is my favorite of the Anacondas.
It's a shame how hard it is to find the 9.6" barrel variant.
@threemar3 I think it became more popular than Kel-Tec anticipated.
Ignore this man at your peril.
@@dorakinwarhammer2946 thank you very much.
Maybe it's because I'm and of a generation raised but that trick is on of the first things I was taught as a kid about bolt guns. It never occurred to there could be people a bolt gun that doesn't that
@LeeScurge I have showed that simple trick to several folks that had never seen us. Granted they were all far younger than myself.
Dang, just bought a case of 9mm and 556
@johntoothman4888 I am sorry you missed the promo. Defender will be running one again soon I imagine.
Do they make a polarizer/flash guard for it?
A really nice coyote rifle 👍 And the coffee table 👍 But I think the corporal took over. He obviously thinks he’s much better looking. 🐈⬛😂
@marklambert4793 he surely does. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know. I will pass that along to Corporal Buster when he wakes up.
My mom is only 65 but she gets a heart attack just by me taking my gun out of my safe 👌

Looks like a nice rifle. I couldn't see your coffee table well enough to comment, maybe that should be your next review?
@@curly__3 I will do better next time on the coffee table. It is a nice rifle.
Wish you could shoot my fn spr man..I swear it’s the tightest groups and my handloads are wicked. It’s mod70 claw action 3rd flush bx and I put a Harris on it 3x15viper and made a old fashioned marine corps foam cheek riser with black duct tape to match black Macmillan stock..scope sets super low and looks and feels so good…prob 16lb ish

Awsome
8 pound DA is absolutely perfect for a defensive revolver. Heavy enough to still be inherently safe, but light enough to run quickly.
@@TheOfficialCaseMade I completely agree.
lol why wouldn’t you carry a 1911 cocked and locked
Remington made a solid tough as nails Dark Series which they started and named. Remington also made the Dark Series in 45-70!! The Remington model was compared to the Henry X model which was poorly made firearm compared the Remington made Dark series model. The Henry model too was made using polymer for the forearm and butt stock. The Henry’s forearm stock would rattle loose after only a few round were fired. Remington made a durable tough as nails model with a little heft for accuracy and recoil management. If you love polymer go for the new Ruger model. If you want one that will last for many years find one of the Remington models online.
@kevinrollman3101 the Ruger built Marlin is superior to the old Remington built Marlin.

No such thing as a safe gun with no ammo in it. Carry it loaded or don’t carry it at all
NEVER BUY A LIBERTY SAFE!
I have never had a shooting session with a Kimber that was untroubled, but I will say they make a very good magazine, a pre 1990 Colt and a kimber Magazine is in my experience magical, no matter the name on the box if you will just simply get some flitz and polish the feed ramp the majority of failure to feed, stove pipe or return to battery issues will go away a lot sooner than 500 rounds. If you shoot Flintlock you learn the value and insane number of things that have to happen to produce a spring, and today that is not happening with Asian steel, and sadly domestically it is lost forever, and is the reason competition shooters cannibalize pre 1990 1911's to harvest the springs, or when unable to harvest a vintage spring will Ziplock their gun remove the magazine lock the slide back and set it in ice water in a cooler until just before it is their time to compete in an effort to force the temperature within a measure of how much its atoms move - the colder an object is, the slower the atoms are.
Thanks for the review my man. Even though this vid is two years old (as of Aug 2024), it is still pretty good, helpful, and relevant.

You got that thing clean
So, as a safe owner would you rather have the F.B.I. open the safe, with a warrant of course, with the combination or have them tear the safe to pieces getting it open? What gets damaged inside the safe? Guaranteed they won't clean up the mess that they make nor pay for damages. The Liberty Safe owner's use and care manual clearly states that Liberty retains the factory set combination/code unless the owner has changed that code without reporting the new code to Liberty. My interpretation of the manual is by the owner changing the master combination/code Liberty no longer has any way to help anyone in opening the safe unless the re-set master code has been reported to Liberty. Even if the safe owner has something to hide not cooperating with the warrant will only delay the inevitable. This Hughes guy stated that the F.B.I. was investigating the January 6 debacle. Just guessing but they may have been serving numerous warrants simultaneously and didn't want to wait for Hughes to return home. Liberty has my code but I have nothing illegal to hide.
